El Fragor is the result of a work of exploration and reinterpretation of ethnographic recordings made between the 1970s and 1980s in Castilla y León, which form part of the Joaquín Díaz Foundation's archive.
It explores a vast repertoire of orally transmitted songs from southern Europe, in search of traces of popular magical sentiment, proposing a dialogue between these traditions and our contemporary aesthetic and political context.

It is created by sampling and remixing field recordings, as a kind of diachronic collaboration with disappearing identities and cultures, building an immediate and intuitive dialogue between tradition, electronic music and the tools of generative art.
